Painting in the Inner West

Painting Across the Inner West

The Inner West has some of Sydney's oldest housing. You will find Victorian terraces in Balmain and Newtown, Federation villas in Haberfield and Ashfield, interwar homes and Californian bungalows around Concord and Five Dock, and warehouse conversions and newer apartments in Marrickville and along the Parramatta River.

Older homes often have original timber joinery, decorative mouldings and lime-based render that need gentle preparation and the right paint system, as the wrong paint can trap moisture and cause damage. Terraces with shared walls and narrow access need careful planning, and apartment buildings need clear scheduling and consistent colours across common areas. We plan each job around the property in front of us.

Many streets in the Inner West are heritage conservation areas. If your home is heritage-listed or in one of these areas, we can work to the colour scheme approved for your property. We also check access and whether scaffolding is needed during the free site visit.

How much does house painting in the Inner West cost?

It depends on the size and condition of the surfaces, how much preparation and caulking is needed, the number of coats, the paint chosen and site access. Sloping or multi-level homes may need scaffolding. We provide a free, itemised written quote after an on-site assessment.

What warranty do you offer?

What does the workmanship warranty cover?

Our workmanship warranty generally covers issues related to application quality, such as peeling, flaking or blistering caused by preparation or painting errors. It does not cover damage from other causes such as structural movement, water leaks or accidental damage. Full terms are provided with your quote.

Yes. We are a licensed NSW painting contractor with public liability insurance, and a Dulux Accredited Painter.

Is caulking included in your painting service?

Caulking is part of our preparation where it is needed. We check gaps and cracks around windows, doors, skirting boards and trims and seal them before painting. We also offer caulking as a standalone service.

Do you clean up after the job?

We remove our equipment, drop sheets and masking, and give the work area a light dust-down. A full house clean is not included, so if you need one, we recommend booking a cleaner after we finish.
